Our delightful cottage with a private swimming pool is located in
the rolling olive groves of inland Andalucia and is well placed for
sightseeing in Granada and Córdoba as well as enjoying all
the traditional delights of rural Spain.
Al-Queria is an attractive and well fitted cottage offering a cosy,
comfortable, romantic hideaway holiday for a couple who just want
to relax and unwind in the Andalusian sunshine.
We offer a child free holiday for grown-ups to enjoy the peace
and quiet.

need help, advice or even just someone to chat to.. |
There are stupendous views over hills and valleys whilst our large,
pool side garden is a haven of serenity for birds and wildlife all
thriving in the fresh, clean air of the mountains.
Our old Spanish cortijo adjoining the holiday cottage, is surrounded
by it's own olive grove, in the mountain country of Granada province,
just over an hour's drive from Malaga airport.
This is a very traditional farming area where tractors mix with
cars, animals and pedestrians in the villages. Hams and sausages
hang from the ceilings of local tapas bars and restaurants, curing
in the aromatic air and life takes on a gentler, slower pace.
We provide an oasis of rural calm, away from the stresses of modern
life, allowing you to relax and unwind in the beautiful, peaceful
countryside of inland Spain.

 Location
Al-Queria is located in the centre of Andalucia near to Lake Iznajar
and within easy reach of Granada, Cordoba, Malaga and Antequera
for sightseeing.
There are three smaller villages within a few minutes drive all
with tapas bars, restaurants, banks and places of interest.
Larger pueblos and towns are within 30 minutes for shopping and
other places of interest.
The area local to Al-Queria cottage has many themed walks, a country
park, magnificent views and a traditional, rural way of life.
Al-Queria is along a well maintained track, just 300 metres from
a good, provincial road.

How is Al-Queria different
?
Al-Queria cottage could only
be in Andalusia.......
Located in open countryside just a few minutes
from the traditional villages of Algarinejo, Fuentes de Cesna and
Iznajar, it has tiled floors, white walls, roof beams, wall niches,
arched doorways and "Al Andalus" furnishings with a quiet,
relaxed ambience.
The cottage is adjacent to our house so we ensure
that Al-Queria is properly cleaned and maintained to our high standard,
allowing you to enjoy your holiday from the beginning to the end.
We are also on hand to offer any help or advice
but we will never intrude on your privacy.
We have fully equipped the accommodation to a
high standard and we provide all the normal household necessities
to enable you to start your self catering holiday. The kitchen is
stocked with a range of herbs, spices, olive oil (of course !),
household paper, bags, etc. and we even supply a pack of groceries
for your first breakfast and a light meal.
The bedroom has a relaxing and romantic feel
with an extremely comfortable and large (2.00 metres x 1.60 metres)
bed with a good quality mattress and bed linen. there is no through
traffic or late returning holiday makers to disturb you.
As well as the usual towels, we supply bath
robes, pool towels and a hairdryer.
The private patio outside Al-Queria is shaded
and sheltered, allowing you to enjoy the morning sun for breakfast
and to dine in the cool of the evening.
The garden has stupendous views
of the hills and valleys with plenty of sun loungers, chairs and
tables. There is a shaded arbour with a large, built in barbecue.
During the cooler months we include
all heating and firewood within the price. |
